Stories from the weeks of August 24 & 31, 2019
Delivering Knowledge: I spent one whole day dropping off a “how to arrest a citizen who is DUI Marijuana” to all House Members on the Judiciary Committee. This remains a black hole for most Members, as panels on MJ do not have street cops who can answer the question.
I will distribute the same to Senate, judiciary members next week.
Misc: I was asked and agreed to spend several hours this week reading a 190-page manuscript on the Drug War which the author will have published later this fall. I made a fair number of comments in the margins and the author I had a solid phone chat. It is an excellent primer for anyone who wants to know all the issues surrounding this disastrous, social policy…I’ll let you when it comes out in print.

* Consider being a member of COP at $40.00 or more per year. All contributions are tax-deductible. 40 dollars buys all the copy paper COP uses in one year. Law Enforcement’s voice in opposition to current policy is vital on the Hill to achieve a repeal of federal drug prohibition. COP provides that voice. www.citizensopposingprohibition.org
