Stories from the week of July 1 & 8, 2016
HAT in Geneva: I have arranged a 3 hour meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on August 31 at the city’s Heroin Assisted Treatment clinic.. I will meet and chat with a govt official, the doctor who runs the clinic & they have arranged for me to meet with some patients. Yes, I am spending at least an hour a day on my French. No, COP is not paying for the trip…this is just one day of a planned, European vacation with Karen.
NORML in Baltimore & Townhall meeting in Baltimore: At the request of LEAP I was on evening panels on Saturday and on Thursday. The NORML event was fairly standard stuff. The Townhall meeting was 100 people who vented their rage at the police shooting and harassing them. It was an eye-opener for this white boy. You could cut the anger and frustration with a knife.
I will spend the week of the 8th in Michigan, finishing up family stuff.

* Consider being a member of COP at $30.00 or more per year. All contributions are tax-deductible. 30 dollars buys all the copy paper COP uses in one year. Law Enforcement’s voice in opposition to current policy is vital on the Hill to achieve a repeal of federal prohibition. COP provides that voice. www.citizensopposingprohibition.org
